The Milk Bar

La Leche League International strives to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. Meetings are a chance to receive help, information and support as well as give those back to the other mothers. It is also a great time to come together with other English speaking moms and make lasting friendships. 

[it]La Leche League è stata fondata per fornire informazioni ed aiuto, principalmente tramite un rapporto diretto, a tutte le mamme che desiderano allattare i loro bambini. Pur offrendo un servizio complementare a quello del medico e di altri operatori sanitari, La Leche League afferma la fondamentale importanza dell'aiuto fornito in modo diretto da una madre ad un'altra, per imparare ad individuare i bisogni del proprio bambino ed a soddisfarli nel migliore dei modi. Gli incontri sono dunque un’occasione per ricevere e dare aiuto, informazioni e supporto, uno scambio alla pari tra voi e le mamme presenti.
